Ebb
Thomas
Jun 23, 1950 — Jun 12, 2020
Ebb Thomas, age 69, received his DIVINE HEALING on June 12th, 2020 as Jesus wrapped his loving arms around him and took him to his Heavenly Home. Ebb had a love for God and Love for country. He served in the U.S. Army. He received training to become a medic. He was a purple heart Vietnam Veteran/combat wounded. He also worked at Fort Rucker Lyster Hospital as a medic with FLATIRON.
After his tour of service with the U. S. army, he went to work in mental health at Lifetime Management in Panama City. Due to Hurricane Michael and health matters, he had to retire and move to Dothan Alabama. He focused on his love for God. He joined Cornerstone Church in Dothan, Alabama. Even with the diagnosis of terminal cancer, his faith in God and the love for his church never wavered. He always gave God Praise, no matter what circumstances he had to face. Another love he had was being a member of the DAV in Ozark, Alabama. He had a deep love for Veterans. In this organization, he felt true comradery.
He was preceded in death by his father, Holley Thomas. He is survived by his mother, Maxine Thomas, his sister-Marilyn Haney, and brother-in-law-Danny Haney, daughters-Cecelia Thomas Umphlett and Tiffany Martin, four grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Ebb Thomas will be 10AM Saturday, June 20th, 2020 at Evans Funeral Home with Ronnie Sexton and Bobby Marks officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. Interment will be at Paxton Cemetery.
Ebb's family would like to offer their heartfelt appreciation to everyone who offered their prayers and support during his illness. The greatest gift in his memory would be to love God and love others. In his honor instead of receiving donations of flowers, he would like you to pay it forward. Give a donation to a worthy organization, share the good news of Jesus to others, or simply share a kind word or hug to someone who may be having a bad day.
