Mrs. Easter Brown of Florala, AL was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at the age of 87.  She was born in Florala on Easter Sunday in 1936 to Jessie and Edna Godwin Jordan. Easter is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charlie O. Brown and her twin brother Esta (Nell) Jordan of Leesburg GA.  Easter devoted her life to caring for her two beautiful daughters and her husband whom she cherished dearly.  She enjoyed spending time with her family whether it was cooking a big breakfast for the group of hunters heading out for the day or playing the piano as everyone gathered around singing gospel songs. She was a lifelong member of First Assembly of God in Florala where she served as pianist until her health and vision declined.  She also served as a Sunday School teacher, church secretary and treasurer, and as a church board member.  Her service and devotion to our Lord and Savior and her family in Christ was paramount to her life.  Her loved ones rejoice in the knowledge that she is now in the arms of her savior Jesus along with her daughters Sherry Dewana Brown, and Dorinda Peterson Triponey who preceded her in death.

Services will be held at Evans Funeral Home Wednesday August 23, at 2:00 P.M. with visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M.  Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Brother Ray Bundy will officiate.
