Dorothy Anthony, of Andalusia, Alabama, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, at the age of 61.

Born on December 20, 1964, Dorothy was the beloved daughter of the late Craig Anthony and Fannie Lou Brown. She was a kind-hearted woman whose gentle spirit, creativity, and generous nature touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Dorothy had a remarkable gift for creating beautiful things with her hands. She found great joy in crafting, painting, and designing handmade jewelry. Her artistic talents were a true blessing, and she delighted in sharing her creations with friends and family. Every piece she made reflected her loving heart and thoughtful spirit, leaving behind treasured keepsakes that will be cherished for years to come.

One of Dorothy's greatest joys in life was the love she had for her faithful companions, Buddy and Bear. They were far more than pet, they were her cherished "fur babies," bringing her comfort, companionship, and unconditional love every day.

Above all, Dorothy loved her family. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Godbey; her son, Tony Wilhelm and his wife, Tasha; her daughter, Brandee Phillips; and her beloved grandchildren, Cohen and Chandler, who brought tremendous joy to her life. Dorothy was preceded in death by her father and mother.

Funeral arrangements for Dorothy Anthony will be announced by Evans Funeral Home.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, the memories she created, the love she freely shared, and the beautiful works of her hands will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
