Dorothy Davis Andrews age 93, of the Caney Creek Community passed away September 20, 2024. She was born May 16, 1931 in Florala the daughter of Henry Foy Davis and Lonie Pearl Gill Davis. Dorothy was a member of Caney Creek Baptist Church. She loved to fish and spent countless hours fishing in the lakes and ponds of Northwest Florida. Her greatest legacy, however, was the immeasurable mark she left on her family. Known to them as Dorothy, Mom and Big Granny she will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. Dorothy's faith in Jesus Christ sustained her as she fought many health issues. She fought the good fight. She kept the faith. She finished the race. She was preceded in death by husband, Basil Andrews; father, Henry Foy Davis; mother, Lonie Pearl Gill Davis; brothers, Oden and Odra Davis, sisters, Bertha Wilkerson and Norine McClellend.

She is survived by daughter, Syble Adams, son, Jerry Andrews and wife Yvonne, grandchildren, Christopher Andrews and wife Amber, Christine Jackson and husband Chris, Terry Aceves and life partner Chris Bedwell, great grandchildren, Christian Jackson, Jayden Jackson, Emma Mae Jackson, Harper Andrews, Hannah Smith and Ian Smith, great great grandchildren, Paisleigh and Kymber Brunson. She is also survived by an abundance of extended loved ones, including numerous nieces, nephews.

Funeral services for Dorothy Davis Andrews will be 2PM Tuesday September 24, 2024 at Evans Funeral Home with James Pickron officiating. A time of visitation will start at 1PM. Interment will be in Caney Creek Cemetery.
