David Ray Henderson was born January 13, 1964, in Winter Haven, FL to Ray Henderson and Janie (Ross) Barnes. David spent most of his life living in DeFuniak Springs, and Laurel Hill. He had many professions throughout his life including construction, volunteer firefighter, Walton County EMS, and longtime truck driver.

David was an avid family man and fisherman. He thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and taking his kids and grandkids fishing on the river or falling asleep in his recliner with a grandbaby on his chest. David is preceded in death by his father, Ray Henderson, grandmother, Mavis Biven, and aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate of 40 years Brenda Henderson, 3 sons, Randle (Haley) Henderson, Steven Henderson, Brandon Henderson and one daughter, Tabatha (Clay) Walters, 11 grandchildren, Brannon, Landon, Andrew, Alia, Cadence, Savannah, Draven, Raylynne, Sadie Henderson, and Maleena and Braxton Walters, his mother Janie Barnes, 2 brothers, Ken (Sandi) Henderson, John Henderson, and sister and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services for David Ray Henderson will be 3PM Saturday September 9, 2023 at Evans Funeral Home with Mike McVay and Jimmy Watson officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services.
