Cody
Kilpatrick
Nov 29, 1984 — Oct 15, 2026
Florala
Cody Race Kilpatrick, age 41, of Florala, Alabama, passed away October 15, 2026. He was born November 29, 1984, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, the son of Dean Kilpatrick and Reene Tucker.
Cody worked for Gex Pro in Brewton for more than three years, recently being promoted to supervisor. His coworkers loved and respected him for his dependability, strong work ethic, and ability to get the job done. He took pride in his responsibilities and was someone others could count on.
Cody enjoyed cheering on the Auburn Tigers and his favorite NBA team, the Golden State Warriors. Some of his happiest days were spent at the river with his wife, Biranda, and their children, Zaedyn and Zandy. Swimming, playing in the water, and enjoying the sunshine together made those summer days especially meaningful. Cody treasured these simple moments with his family, making memories his wife and children will carry with them always. His children held a special place in his heart, and being their daddy was one of the greatest joys of his life.
Above all, Cody loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. On May 24, 2026, he rededicated his life to Christ and was baptized, marking a beautiful turning point in his life. His renewed faith shaped the way he lived, loved, and cared for his family. He devoted himself to becoming a better husband, a better father, and a man whose actions reflected the love of Jesus. Listening to sermons and Christian podcasts through his earphones became part of his daily routine, including while he worked, as he sought to grow in his faith and keep God’s Word close to his heart.
The change in Cody was a precious gift to those who loved him. His family finds great comfort in knowing that the Savior he loved and followed now holds him in His eternal care. Though their hearts ache in his absence, they hold tightly to the promise of everlasting life through Jesus Christ and the hope of being reunited with him one day.
Cody was preceded in death by his brother, Brandon Kilpatrick.
He is survived by his wife, Biranda Kilpatrick; son, Zaedyn Strickland Kilpatrick; daughter, Zandy Race Kilpatrick; father, Dean Kilpatrick; mother, Reene Tucker; and mother-in-law, Kim Lewis. He also leaves behind an abundance of extended loved ones, including numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services for Cody Race Kilpatrick will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, with Zach Spader officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
