Clearottis (Bud) Birge age 84, of Lockhart passed away October 13, 2019. He was born May 11, 1934 in Lockhart to Roland Birge and Mattie Adams Birge. Bud joined U.S. Army and faithfully and proudly served his country for 28 years. He was a retired Command Sergeant Major. Bud was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Meritorious Service Medal and others. Bud had a love for life and for getting things done. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He love being their "grandpa". Bud was preceded in death by wifes, Amey Jackson Birge and Sandy Birge, father, Roland Birge; mother, Mattie Adams Birge; brothers, Otis and Jerry Birge.

He is survived by daughter, Darlene Wise and husband Ted of Coffee Springs, sons, Ricky Birge of Chipley and Ronald Birge of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, brothers, Eugene Birge and wife Reba of Lockhart, Jack Birge and wife Betty of Crestview and Mike Birge and wife Deborah of Florala, sisters, Linda Lee of Panama City and Diane Bruce and husband Robert of Calloway, grandchildren, Aimee Erica Sconyers, Lee Anthony Gilmore and Zachary Cheynne Birge, great grandchildren,n Maredith Layne Sconyers, Garrison Lee Sconyers and Emma Jayden Birge.

Funeral services for Clearottis (Bud) Birge will be 2PM Sunday October 20, 2019 at Evans Funeral Home with Robert Bruce officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery  with full military honors.
