Carolyn Brister Cassady, age 75, of Paxton, FL went to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 6. She is no longer walking by faith but by sight.
Carolyn was a devoted wife and mother. She was involved in the work of the Lord teaching children's Sunday School classes at Grace Baptist Church in Florala and was a charter member of Bible Baptist Church in Freeport, FL. She had a great love for the Lord and people and she loved to pray for those she loved.

Carolyn was predeceased by father, Almer Brister; mother and step-dad, Guylene and Curtis Mixson; brother, Guy Brister; father and mother-in-law, Noah and Macy Cassidy; and brother-in-law, Tex Cassady.
Survivors include husband of 43 years, Rex Cassady; son, Jamie Haywood; brothers, Aaron (Kathy) Mixson, Sammy (Carol) Mixson; brother-in-law, Vick (Toni) Cassidy; sisters-in-law, Gale Brister, Kathy (Tom) Dennis, Lisa (David) Windham, Christy (Kevin) Bryan; and numerous nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services for Carolyn Brister Cassady will be 2PM Tuesday June 9, 2026 at Evans Funeral Home with Rex Cassady officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
