A lifelong resident of Florala, Alabama, she graduated from Florala High School in 1967, and went on to spend most of her career working for the Covington County Circuit Clerks office in Andalusia, Alabama.

Before her health declined, she absolutely loved being outside. She would spend hours planning how to arrange plants and flowers just right in her flower beds, so that her husband would know exactly where to dig so she could plant them. After she became ill, she enjoyed watching the hummingbirds drink from the feeder her husband placed outside the window where she sat. Her greatest love, however, was her family - and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were everything to her.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Bobby Barton; daughters Lesley (Jamie) Kimbro and Shelley (Eric) Anderson; stepdaughter Delilah Barton; grandchildren Heather (Clay), Lindsay (Dakota), Samantha (Will), Sydney, Addison, Cooper and Brian, great-grandchildren Gracelynn, Alyssa, Noah, Noah(Bo), Joshua, Danni and Axel; 2 special nieces, as well as numerous other family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Lucille Miller, her sister, Becky Harrison and her niece Pat Joyner.

Visitation will be at 1 pm on Saturday, February 27th 2021, at Evans Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 2 pm with Billy Pickron and Bill Orange officiating.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
