Brenda Sue Schofield age 71 of DeFuniak Springs passed away December 20, 2023. She was born September 7, 1952, in Opp the daughter of J Lee Missildine and Ruby Green. Brenda enjoyed taking care of her flowers around her home, quilting, reading, and fishing. Nothing was more important to her as her family. Known to them as Brenda Sue, Ma Ma, Nanny and Me Maw she will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. Brenda's faith in Jesus Christ sustained her as she bravely fought many health issues. She fought the good fight. She kept the faith. She finished the race. She was preceded in death by father, J Lee Missildine; mother, Ruby Green; sisters, Elizabeth Phelps and Lela Baker; brothers, Joe, William and Johnny Missildine.

She is survived by husband John Schofield, daughter, Tonya Brooks and husband Jeff, sons, Mark Missildine and wife Luette and Darrell Hinkley and wife Dawn, sister, Mary Preston, brother, James Missildine and wife Julia, grandchildren Justin, Laura, Christin, Carrissa, Trey, Kellen and Bella, great grandchildren Paislee, Chloe, Bentlee, Riverlynn, Kyler, Emerson Rose, Phoenix and Nora Sue.

Funeral services for Brenda Sue Schofield will be 2PM Saturday December 23, 2023, at the Evans Funeral Home with Wendal Ard officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Gaskin Cemetery.
