Mrs. Bonnie Skipper Kelley, 97, of Florala passed away peacefully in Florala

Health and Rehabilitation on Sunday, April 4, 2021. Mrs. Kelley was born,

September 2, 1923 in Vernon, Florida to George W. Skipper and Era Styron

Skipper.

She was a devoted wife, mother, educator at Florala City School and ladies

Sunday School teacher at the First Baptist Church for many years. Bonnie's

talents included sewing, creating beautiful original crafts, growing plants and

flowers and reading. Her greatest joy was cooking for her family and

especially in demand for her fried apple tarts.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Horace A. Kelley and her

cherished son-in-law, Jerry Wayne Strickland.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Pat) Strickland. She is also survived by

numerous nieces and nephews.

At her request, a private memorial graveside service for Mrs. Bonnie Kelley will

be held at a later date.
