Athel (Butch) Jackson age 73, passed away July 7, 2023. He was born January 20, 1950 in Lockhart the son of James Jackson and Mary Helen Baldwin Jackson. Butch worked as a heavy equipment operator in the citrus industry. He was an avid outdoorsman spending countless hours in the fields, woods, ponds and lakes of south Florida hunting and fishing. For over 36 years you could find Butch on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons at the Flea Market fellowshipping and singing Karaoke. Nothing was more important to him as his family especially his grandchildren. His sweet smile and loving ways will be truly missed. He was preceded in death by father, James Jackson; mother, Mary Helen Baldwin Jackson; brothers, Wayne, Larry and Guy Jackson; sister, Hilda Jackson.

He is survived by son, Athel B Jackson Sr and wife Tonya, grandchildren, Athel Brian Jackson Jr, James TM Jackson, Kylie Faith Jackson. He is also survived by an abundance of extended love ones including nieces, Brenda Garrett, Tami Halford, Sirena Butts, Joanie Jones, Heather Akridge, Brandi McCraney and Audrey Whitaker.

Funeral services for Athel (Butch) Jackson will be 12PM Saturday July 15, 2023, at Evans Funeral Home with Dan Hershey officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
