Anthony Gage McLeod, age 19, of Laurel Hill, Florida, passed away Monday, August 17, 2026. He was born April 3, 2007, in Pensacola, Florida, the son of Anthony Dewayne McLeod and Tanya Metts.

Gage worked for Rocky Chase Demolition, where he was well respected for his ability, dependability, and exceptional work ethic. Though the work was often demanding and required long hours of hard labor, Gage approached each day with enthusiasm and a willing attitude. He took pride in doing his job well, could always be counted on to arrive on time, and never backed away from a difficult task.

Gage loved spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, kayaking, and grilling for his family and friends. He was happiest when he was outside enjoying the simple things in life. Gage also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Juno, who was his faithful companion.

He is survived by his father, Anthony Dewayne McLeod; his mother, Tanya Metts; his sister, Desiray McLeod; his great-grandfather, Ray Frank Gilley; his grandmother, Robin Aiello; his grandfather, Huey Metts; his uncle, Alan Metts and wife, Jaz; his aunts, Ashley Metts and Sheila Malloy - family; his nephew, Raymond Little III; his niece, Layla Metts; and his beloved dog, Juno. He is also survived by abundance of extended loved ones including numerous cousins and friends.

Gage was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandmother, Sarah Gilley, and his paternal grandmother, Laura Brasher.

A Celebration of Life Service for Gage McLeod will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, with Mike McVay officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
