Ann McLendon age 71, passed away October 6, 2020. She was born March 4, 1949 in Kinston to Charlie Ray Hilliard and Gladys Culpepper Hilliard. Ann enjoyed fishing, planting and caring for her flowers around her home, cooking for her family, collecting frog statue figurines and Alabama football. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She loved being their NaNa. Her faith in Jesus Christ sustained her as she fought many health issues. She fought the good fight. She kept the faith. She finished the race. She was preceded in death by father, Charlie Ray Hilliard; mother, Gladys Culpepper Hilliard; sisters, Joyce smith, Clara St. Cyr, Joann Sheldon, Marie Anderson and Shelia Berry; brothers, Daniel, Lewis, Roy and Willie Hilliard.

She is survived by sons, Michael Bumgarner and wife Lavonda, Scott and Chris Bumgarner and daughter, Lora Burdine, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and 1 on the way. She is also survived by an abundance of extended love ones including numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Ann McLendon will be 2PM Sunday October 11, 2020 at Evans Funeral Home with Dennis Sims officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Alberton Cemetery.
